General Info

Time: persistent, with a 2x accelerated time rate so have your nods on hand. 

 

This will be the first operation of many to come, much like our WW2 operations with a slight twist.  You will only have one life. 

 

This is still a PVE event not a PVP

 

These missions are not designed by me, they will be designed by those who choose to be RED OPERATORS and those who are BLUEFOR Leadership

 

I will simply push both sides into the right direction and the game will be made by all of you!

 

What to expect 

Red Operators will be given a handful of objectives to choose from or be given an overall idea on what is needed and they will choose, create, and pre-plan their position from there.  Unknowingly unless found otherwise, BLUFOR leadership will be given their objectives and will be given time to plan for those.  Every mission should be stepped into with caution, you are winning the hearts and minds here in this foreign home but not everyone will take to you kindly.  Every mission should also be stepped into with caution because you will have one shot at it per play session.  Upon a fair death, those who died will be asked to enter the spectator mode, find a stream of the game, or await for the AAR.  This all includes leadership and below, though I will note that if you are leadership and wish to continue as leadership, dying does not take you away from that spot for the next play session.  Within each play session you will have 2 hours to complete your given objective, the objective for the RED OPERATORS is to counter your moves, though they do not get the luxury of the real time strategy.  They, instead, will be looking at the game through a top down strategist perspective always getting late info or updated info as the missions go, the only catch to this is if the RED OPERATORS happen to get information from the BLUFOR by capturing or acquiring information through poor opsec.

 

For the RED OPERATORS

You will be given a day, just like our current 15th style planning meeting where you can come up with a dedicated plan for your zeus operator to follow based on the information you've been given or that is needed. You will have a set number of troops available in your army and you may gain more as time goes on or acquire needed funds to gain PMC's to fight for you.  You also have the option of ONE of the 4 RED OPERATORS to be a militia group who is neither decided as RED or BLUE they can go either way! They will also have a set number of troops gaining troops slowly as influence is gained.

 

For the BLUFOR side 

You will conduct humanitarian missions, attacks on enemy strongpoints, train ANA militia, Build FOB's, Defend FOB's, Conduct patrols,  and plenty more.  it should be noted for BLUFOR, it is okay to pull out of any bad situation. There is no need to risk life and limb for an obviously outnumbered or out equipped fight.  You will go into the mission with a set number of vehicles and ammunition.  All resupplies can and will be given but must be mobilized by YOU.  There will be no Armor or Air vehicle resupplies if they are lost they are lost for the operations until decided otherwise.

 

For both teams  

Both sides will have an initial set of operation security, for BLUFOR there will be no information openly given about resources to help avoid the heavy sided planning from Red Forces.  Likewise for Red Forces, there will be little to no open information given to avoid any heavy pre-planning on the BLUFOR side.  Leadership will receive asset information and will have the abilities to request further assets.

 

For BLUFOR SignUps

If you take a leadership position please understand that you will be expected to pre-plan and aid in understanding for your subordinates.  I would advise all to gather input from trusted subordinates to help aid in your planning process to avoid heavy casualties.

 

FOR GCE - Sign up is simple and basic as always

 

FOR ACE - Must know how to fly, for this op in particular you will not want to lose your air assets

 

FOR ACP - Be prepared to support and transport

 

FOR BAS - You will have a very important job. You single handedly will be keeping your comrades alive and in the game.  The very success or failure can fall upon the medical personnel here. 

 

Disclaimer

Operation Red Lion is a hardcore FunOp, there is a high possibility of slower operation styles and methodical unit movements.  It is expected of the BLUFOR units to treat their single life per operation with great care and caution.  It will be stressed upon the Zeus operators to take the same precautions into account for the enemy troops; to include fear, planned movements, leadership internally and with it loss of leadership, propper attacks and retreats, and more.
