Sounds like you have two separate issues there. The weapon sounds thing is undoubtedly some sort of mod mismatch, including any sound mods in use. Verify those. Something or someone does in fact not have the correct mods. The lack of options... sounds like something is not initializing right in the mission scripting. Do you get errors attempting to start the mission in the Eden Multiplayer Test Environment?
