  • Country United States

Additional Application Fields

  • First Name Brandon
  • Middle Initial R
  • Age 19
  • Desired MOS 6174 Helicopter Crew Chief
  • How long have you been playing ArmA III? I've owned the game since September 3rd 2017 and have been on and off in different assortment of units since then. My last unit that I was a part of shutdown back in December of 2018 and really haven't touched the game since then.
  • Are you currently in an ArmA III gaming clan or unit? No
  • How did you find out about us? Current member
  • If you were recruited by one of our members, who was it? PFC Stern
  • Why do you want to join the 15th MEU (SOC) Realism Unit? I am a very realism centered person when it comes to military games. I don't much like Call of Duty or Battlefield just because they are big brand companies not really out there for the realism and rather the flashy design of the game. I enjoy playing Squad but the game itself has terrible optics mechanics which completely ruin the game for me especially when I comes to playing as an actual sniper class on those servers.

With all of that above, I have heard lots of good things about this unit in the recent couple of weeks that I have started to play Arma 3 again and with that I wanted to get back into a Unit as that is what I loved to do. Now I put Helicopter Crew Chief because that is closest to what I have experience with. In my previous units I was a part of some Ranger battalions, 2nd Ranger Battalion, 75th Rangers Regiment and a couple of others that I honestly do not remember and I was normally a part of their 160th SOAR sectors and typically flew the UH-60s as well as sometimes flying the MH-6M Little Bird for QRF transportations. With this I am able to go into anything that is open and willing to take me, obviously starting in ground units and working my way up would be no problem but at some point having the opportunity to go back in the air again would be a pleasure.

Coming back to my first point, I enjoy some light-hearted times but with some of my last units there has literally been no actual realism type stuff going on and it kind of ruined the experience for me. After hearing about this unit, I wanted to look into it and so far it looks like a possible new unit for me.

  • Please check your user profile and ensure that the email address you registered with is correct. Have you done this? Yes
  • Have you read and understood the definition of Realism Gaming and do you agree to abide by it? Yes
  • Have you read and understood the requirements for our unit and the criteria for being active and taking a billet in this unit, and that failure to complete said criteria will place you into the reserve platoon? Yes
  • Do you understand the fact that this unit is a CST (GMT -6) time zone based unit, and the attendance requirements of operations on Sundays at 1900 CST (0100 GMT)? Yes
