I like it. What video settings were you running for the FTX and how many frames were you getting?

Take out CUP Terrains - Core, CUP Terrains - CORE, CUP Terrains - Maps, and Community Base Addons v3.6. That should leave with 16, the ones that are needed.

The best way to become proficient in using ACE functions, ACRE, and regular Arma 3 scroll wheel interactions is to spend some time in the public server that can be found here. You will need to create a different mod preset for the public server since it utilized different mods. But to answer your question: Bind the ACE interaction and self-interaction keybind to something that you are comfortable using/reaching because it is something that you will use frequently and should not be a hassle to reach the required keys. My keybinds for ACE interactions are the default keybinds and it should work pretty well for you too. Learn how to program and use the radios within ACRE. You will mostly be utilizing the 343 within a fireteam-sized element and the 152 within a squad-sized element. Bind the three push-to-talk keys for your radios to something that is easy for you to remember and utilize. Learn what you can and cannot do with ACE interaction and self-interaction and ways to reduce the time required to accomplish a task within the interaction menu; such as rendering medical aid (this can be done by pressing "H" when you're near a person), opening your radio to lower the volume or change the channel (mine is set to CTRL+ALT+CAPS lock to open my selected radio), and setting up multiple radio push-to-talk keys so you won't be switching radios all the time with a hotkey or by going back into the self-interaction menu time and time again. All of the things that I have mentioned above, you will learn some of it during recruit training and the rest during ITB. Your instructors should and will go over how to properly set up your radios and how to bind the correct keys to what you want, combat stances, utilizing the ACE Medical system, and much much more. I've only been here for a few months, but if you can master how to use and program the 343 and 152 radio so you can utilize it to their full potential, you will be good to go in the long run. I have seen many cases where members do not know how to use a 152 because they've only been using 343s their entire time here. Be proactive and ask questions when given the chance. There is no such thing as stupid questions, only stupid answers. If you ever need help with in-game keybinds, mechanics, or just general questions regarding anything within the unit, feel free to message me or your recruiter here, or reach out to any other members of the unit on Teamspeak and we will always be glad to help you out.

There are multiple 501st Legions out there if he is referring to the 501st that I am thinking of -which can be found here-, it does not disqualify him from applying since it is a community of Star Wars cosplayers. However, if he is referring to an Arma 3 501st legion, then he is dual clanning. We should wait and let Mr. Eli clarify himself.

FTX 04-18 with Archer 4 on Task Force Bravo -
Assuming the reason why your ACRE is auto-updating is due to being subscribed to the steam workshop item. So the solution is to download version 2.6.0.990 from their github page and name is something that you can recognize and load that into your Arma 3 mod preset and unload the one that keeps updating. Once you launch Arma 3 with the approved version, it will update you TS with the correct version and you're good to go. TL;DR Download a second copy of ACRE 2 from the github and use that.

They are probably thinking something along these lines: "I almost fragged my own fireteam a few times, I hope they didn't notice" or "I helped, even though I missed every single shot." I know one of these thoughts went through my head during my FTX on Day 4.

Tater's Combat Images and Footage From The Front Lines

The first video is the second try of Operation Golden Veil 03-18. It's unedited so please don't expect anything fancy. The second one will be the first try of 03-18 up until the server crashed. Best moments are in the first 5 minutes. Enjoy! Edit - The friendly fire at the beginning of the second video was unintentional and there was only speculation between Kirby and me on who shot who, therefore the video is not incriminating evidence to NJP the person responsible. -
Requesting Footage! Golden Veil, Task Force Alpha
Tater replied to Capt (Ret) Zahj's topic in Pictures and Videos
I think I might've fixed it. I didn't want my mic to be on voice activation and catch a lot of unnecessary audio so I just set my OBS PTT as my TS PTT but I forgot about my radio button so while I was frantically dodging shells, I was trying to fix it but ultimately failed. I will hit you up if it doesn't work out though, thanks! -

Of course! The only issue with the second file is that you could not hear me transmit on the 152 due to faulty keybinds so all you'll hear is a beep then a reply. -
Requesting Footage! Golden Veil, Task Force Alpha

Here's one , before TFA crashed. The only good thing came of it was @LCpl Larabiegetting shot in the ass when someone tabbed back in. That's around the 1-minute mark. And the second one after TFA came back online. Just some pew pew, shut it off when I fudged my PTT keybinds but at about 24-minute mark, I watched @1stLt Velten get shot in the face by a BRG soldier. Kind of boring but let me know what you decide to do with it! -

Photos from Task Force Lima 03-18 and Task Force Alpha 03-18. You will also get a rare glimpse of Gator members taking on the role of a rifleman after losing our tracks. -
Yo guys! Arma 3 is available as a bundle on Humble Bundle. For $20, you can get ArmA 3 and Apex, along with several other DLCs and Arma 2! For those of you that do not know what Humble Bundle is; it's an organization that sells games in bundles in support of charities of your choice! I've been a member with them for years now and they are a great organization. Share this bundle with your friends that do not have ArmA and get them into the unit! I'm sure the player base will fluctuate because of this and we should take advantage of it!

Instead of spamming the pictures of the month thread, I decided to start my own thread to post all of the screenshots I've taken. Enjoy!

Some travel to see the world, whereas some like Jameson, travel to stay inside of his hotel, playing Arma 3. -
I utilized some of my Google-Fu and came up with this and this . It's the same person on two different websites and both solutions seem to include a fresh install of Windows 10 64bit. I'm not sure what you're using right now but I would not use this solution first since Windows 10 is not free anymore. Are you using any sort of advanced launch parameters on Arma 3? I see that you have 4096MB of VRAM set aside for Arma 3. I suggest turning off that parameter and see what happens. There was a small blip at the bottom of that setting that states if you put it over 2GB of VRAM, it can have catastrophic results. I would also look into updating your video drivers via GeForce Experience, having the most up-to-date drivers can do wonders for your computer. Also, check out this thread , it's the same guy but different solution. Making sure that you have disabled your integrated graphics from your i7-8700K and have everything render from your 1080ti can fix the memory issue since integrated GPUs only have 500MB (if that) of VRAM. This is also a good read regarding 32-bit and 64-bit operating systems and the game. It's from 2008 so it might be kind of worthless. Do make sure you're running 32-bit Arma 3 for your 32-bit OS and 64-bit Arma 3 for your 64-bit Arma 3. Some guy from this thread gave a detailed graphic regarding RAM usage in vanilla Arma 3 and it leads me to my next question, how many GB of RAM are you running? | In use (Compressed) | Available | Committed | Cached | Paged pool | Non-paged pool ============================================================================================= Idle | 3.0 GB (106 MB) | 12.9 GB | 3.6/18.3 GB | 2.0 GB | 350 MB | 115 MB A3 | 5.9 GB (1.3 GB) | 9.5 GB | 11.4/18.3 GB | 2.9 GB | 428 MB | 143 MB --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Usage | 2.9 GB (1.2 GB) | 3.4 GB | 7.8/18.3 GB | 0.9 GB | 78 MB | 28 MB I threw a lot at you but I hope at least some of it is helpful. I'm no tech genius by any means so there's a lot that I do not know and I just skimmed the threads to get to the good parts. I wish you the best of luck!

You have way too much time on your hands... -
Heyo! You should be able to change the size of your Arma 3 UI in your configurations screen. It's Options -> Video -> Display and there is a drop down for interface size. You can adjust it to your liking! This will also affect the size of the ACE Interaction menu. From some quick testing, it seems like they just zoom in more on the menu while lowering your FOV. Kinda weird so you might also want to mess with your FOV settings to find your perfect fit. Good luck!

Make sure you unbind "v" for vaulting on the movements tab. You won't need it since you'll be using advanced movement. You also don't want to be the guy to accidentally vault over the firing range, trying to bring up your binoculars/rangefinder.
