Public Server cannot play / edit this mission
Maj (Ret) D. Johansen replied to J. Grim's topic in Help Desk
After messages, Grim didn't use the Compat mods as mentioned. He has been provided the link & I assume he will try again whenever he does However, it should be what made the issue -
Deployment 2018- Letters from the front
Maj (Ret) D. Johansen replied to HM3 (FMF) (Ret) S. Davis's topic in Waiting Room
1stLt D. Johansen Aviation Combat Element, 15th MEU (SOC) FPO San Diego, CA 92102 My dear father, It has been about a week since you dropped me off by the airport with mom. I have never seen her cry that much & a tear did find its way down my cheek when I last saw you both around the corner Right now, I'm at sea with my brothers heading to people who needs our help - I can't say where yet but trust in I'm in good & safe hands around me I have to say being here isn't to bad, we got lovely beds, 3 meals a day, fresh sea wind & if I need something to do, then I can always check up with my bird - Of course, it doesn't get close beating the home feeling with everyone I hold dear around be within a moments notice Speaking of family, how is my sisters & brothers? I know they must have questions about where I'm going, my safety, & my intentions. I mean, Samantha, Louise, & Magnus is 10 years old - I didn't know what to say to them before I left & I still don't The best I can say is that I have to help these people like them to get a normal life - I know they might not find peace alone with that but tell them I promised I'll be back before long Nicolai are an adult so I know he understands this, but does he accept it? - I am his older brother & he might not see reason with me being gone for the benefit of others but he knows that is what I do like, the trip to help Trinity. I just hope he's willing to step up with everything until I get back & after There isn't much else to say, but I'll be working to yet see you all back at home. I'll try to send a letter every month Oh yeah one more thing, I hid my computers hard drives since I know Nicolai will try to see what I have on there so I installed a new hard drive that's clean. You may have to install the operating system to make it work. I'm sure you can find a youtube video about that unless the years as gotten to you old man ;-) I love you, Yours, Daniel -

Hello and a question about signing-up
Maj (Ret) D. Johansen replied to St. Julien's topic in Waiting Room
Hello there Saint! I'm going to start of by thanking you for trying to join the armed forces despite the unfortunate result. But you showed that you were willing to give it your everything & that counts for serving your country in my book When it comes to the 15th MEU, I have never heard about anyone being denied because of a real life medical condition. When I googled "legally blind" since I didn't know what it was, I get the understanding you can see, but in a limited view right? As long as you can see your screen & what you're aiming at then I highly doubt your eye sight plays a role for your application How well does arma run on your system in frame rate? That's of course importent so you can play but since you mention you're going through the Apex campaign, then I would assume you have a system that is good enough But Just in case So if can run arma & you can hear us while we can hear you, then I would say that you as everyone else will be accepted with open arms -

Ah Snake my childhood enemy. How I have many good memories with you Regarding FOB, how much do you think you would need as in cash? For future ideas -
Thanks Capt

Teamspeak 3.1.7 just came out. Do we want to upgrade to that?
-
I believe you are a returning member, so first & foremost, welcome back Mr Barlow. The public server mods are not the same as the operation mods. The 15ths mods are handed out from the recruiters from what I read. I suggest poking the first recruiter you see when possible :-)
-
@Cpl Nuttree Were you on Tanoa?
-
I have no launcher options in Arma 3 enabled Sounds vaild. I'm going to regroup with Steever when that chance presents itself & see if he wants to do it again
-
The fact my computer flipped his stresstest the finger made me happy C: I'm going to test if it worked the next chance time an event comes along
-
64 bit @Capt Steever has been working with my system, I don't completely understand what he did, but maybe he can say for himself
-
This only happens in ops - On Tanoa - where there are alot of people It doesn't happen in singleplayer or the public server I can try to monitor my ram & see what it's doing
-
So 8 GB ram was to little on Tanoa?
-
Intel Core i5 7500 - 8GB DDR4 - NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1050Ti - Windows 10 Don't know if that covers it And my view distance are 4000 meters
-
Just as we spoke about On the money

I don't know if this is just me who have this "war" with this awful map, but every time I'm playing Tanoa, in a event that has alot of people - like a task force size - my computer acts up in such a worring way First thing that happens after like an hour, my frames starts to drop from my normal 50 to 20-30 frames. This is the first & only warning before havoc Second thing happenes after 5-10 min, my screen freezes for like 1-2 seconds. But when returning, my frames drop to 3-4 FPS & I get these minecraft grafics that makes my eyes bleed. The RCO sight would display as an small black box on my M4. Imagine an CH-53E now.. Thank god for auto-hover & Co-pilots After 5 seconds or so, the FPS collects itself & goes to 30 FPS again. If I have any passengers, then this is the time where I'm going to land so they can make it out safely weather it's 1 km & 50 km from the LZ But that was just a warning shot. In about 3 mikes or so after the first major FPS drop, it happens again! This time, it sicks until I reboot the game. I can still talk to people on the radio normally until my game crashes After the crash, people could still hear me "hotmicing" but my adapter was muted & my headset was disconnected from the adapter itself. It's worth point out that if fog are on the map, then all of this happenes faster. All of this only happens on Tanoa. Weather it due to major people numbers, fog, ect I can play all maps normally without FPS drop where my normally stays at 60. Malden, Abramia, Takistan, no matter Would anyone have any idea what is going on, or better yet, how to fix it? As this is problem are around, I'm grounding myself on that map to avoid killing people I'm transporting. I can't risk having 1 CH-53E burning up with 24 or less E-marines in or around it because of a problem I knew about

It's truely amazing! I love it!
