The 3rd Battalion, 1st Marine Division has been tasked to begin a retaliatory attack into the city. FOB Sand Dragon has been set up over night just North of the city. 1st Platoon, India Company will push south toward the civilian airbase to ensure it does not have insurgency forces located there to allow follow on forces to hold it in security. 1st Platoon will then push into Fallujah from the south and work their way down the streets and gain a foothold in the south for follow on operations. MISSION: LOCATION: Al-Fallujah, Iraq DATE: November 4th, 2004 TIME: 0600L UNIT: 1st Platoon, India Company, 3rd Battalion, 1st Marines It is the mission of 1st Platoon to push into Fallujah, begin eliminating Iraqi Insurgents, and gain a foothold to allow for further operations to continue.
