Public Action Signup - 26MAY2021 1830 CT

Sgt Q. Robertson requesting Platoon Leader -
PUBLIC ACTION SIGNUP Wednesday 26 May 2021 - 1830 CST Public actions are open to all players both public and members, and are expected to last 1-2 hours. These events will usually be scheduled weekly. The next public action after this is currently TBD. SIGNUPS Everyone attending is encouraged to sign up saying "[Name] will be attending", so we can estimate numbers. As more people sign up (especially general "attending" signups), more sign-up spots will be opened. Sign-up leadership positions below must be 15th MEU members whenever possible. Qualified 15th MEU members will be given precedence for specialist roles. 1st Platoon Leader: Sgt Q. Robertson JTAC: GySgt Sanderson 1-1 Squad Leader: Sgt J. Glenn 1-1 Squad Corpsman: HR Helbrandt 1-1-A Team Leader: LCpl R. S. James 1-1-B Team Leader: Open 1-1-C Team Leader: Open 4-1-1-A Machine Gun Team Leader: CLOSED Lead Armor Crew: Cpl D. Johansen Armor Crew: Cpl D. J. Peterson Lead Pilot: SNA J. Kirk Pilot: CLOSED INFORMATION - FAQ Q: What is a Public Action? A public action is a small public event hosted by the unit open to all comers including public visitors. Public Actions are conducted on the same mission the Public Server is already running, and missions are planned on-the-fly by the signed up event leader as the event begins. By organizing, kitting out, and operating in the way the 15th MEU actually does in operations, these events provide the public with an opportunity to see our skills and participate in organized combat activity. Q: What do you mean "organizing", can't I just grab a rifle and go? Public actions showcase the coordination, tactics, and skills of the unit. We ask that everyone participating fills a required role as directed by the event leader, and operates with their group the same way our e-Marines do. Q: But I always play as US Army and carry a sniper rifle and Javelin, can't I do that? Public actions also show the cooperation and power of a properly equipped Marine unit. We ask that everyone participating uses the weapons and gear that would be used by the role they are filling. After the event is done, you can load out to your heart's content. Q: What's the plan, do we know ahead of time? No pre-plan is done for Public Actions, as they continue with the tasks of the current Public Server mission. As everyone loads in, the event leader comes up with a plan, briefs the group, and puts it in motion. Q: Won't this bog down the server? Public actions begin with the mission being refreshed on the server, and end with either a refresh or (when able) a hard server restart. After it's done, everything is fresh and clear. For more explanation, see THIS THREAD.

Deployment 2020 Letters From The Front
Capt Q. Robertson replied to HM1 (FMF) Lockworth's topic in Waiting Room
Mom, It's been a rough time since I took over the squad, we've had a lot of stuff happen, and more to come i'm sure. I'm safe for now, i'm sure the news that you are hearing is pretty bad. Thanks for the care package by the way, I just ran out of lighter fluid, and i'll make sure to pass around the jerky you sent. Speaking of food, boy do I miss yours. Thank Kayla for the blanket and stuffed animal, that lil gal sure likes to watch out for me, doesn't she? Well tell her big bro will be home soon, and we'll go for rides on my motorcycle when I get back. In your last letter, you said that gramps died. Guess the cancer finally got to him, pretty sad I didn't get to see him before we shipped out or before he passed. He was a great man, and I'll miss him a shit ton. I still remember him teaching me how to trap shoot for the first time, way back when? Was it September, back in middle school. I remember my shoulder was numb half way through shooting, barely able to hold that ole break action of his. Yet he still brought me shells and clays so we kept popping till I couldn't even close the action. We are on land now, I can't tell you where or too much more about it, but yeah. I miss you guys a ton and really hope we can go home soon. Love, Q.
