Each smoke color will have an associated meaning when seen. The following outlines the default meaning of each smoke color. These assigned meanings may be altered per mission, with the exception of red smoke, at the discretion of the Task Force Commander. In this event, these changes MUST be specified in the Task Force’s respective OPORD under the “Command and Signal” section. Green - Identify a Friendly Position Red - Identify an Enemy Position Yellow - Identifies Explosives White - Concealment Purple - Used to identify a mass casualty situation. While this does not mean that there are no corpsmen around, it does mean that the corpsmen need help in treating the casualties on their own and are requesting assistance from other corpsmen or CLS infantrymen. Blue - Used to indicate a breakdown of Command. All the officers, SNCO's and NCO's are dead and no command is in place for the rest. Orange - Special Duty smoke that’s meaning is assigned during the planning phase at the discretion of the task force commander. 2. OFFICIAL DEPLOYMENT ORDER: VIGILANT ECHO UNIT: 17th MEU / Maritime Special Purpose Force (MSPF) AO: KUNAR PROVINCE (THE BORDER HIGHLANDS) BACKSTORY: A LINE IN THE DUST The Siege: For the last 48 hours, the 2nd Battalion, 9th Marines have been the "Thin Blue Line" on the Iranian border. Following the outbreak of hostilities, they have been cut off at their Forward Operating Base (FOB) by a massive, asymmetric surge of IRGC-backed insurgents. The enemy didn't just attack; they strangled the valley. Using the jagged Kunar ridgelines, insurgent mortar teams and snipers have pinned the 2/9 inside their own wire. The base's flight line is "Red"—no birds can land, and no supplies can get in. The 2/9 is low on water, low on bandages, and down to their last crates of 5.56mm. The Stakes: This is an Official Relief Operation. The world is watching to see if the U.S. can protect its own. If the 2/9 falls, the border falls. If the 17th MEU breaks the siege, we regain the initiative. ━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━ AO OVERVIEW: THE KUNAR FISHBOWL The Kunar Map is our Tactical Kill-Zone. The "Alamo" (FOB): Located in the valley. It is surrounded by stone walls that provide the insurgents with infinite cover for "Hit-and-Run" harassment. The High Ridges: The insurgents have established Observation Posts (OPs) on every major peak. They have "Eyes-On" the base 24/7. The "Green Zone" Chokepoint: The only road into the base runs through a dense thicket of trees and irrigation ditches. Intelligence suggests this "MSR" (Main Supply Route) is heavily mined with IEDs to prevent ground relief. ━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━ 2026 OFFICIAL EVENT SCHEDULE Task Force: 17th MEU / MSPF Cycle: 5th Sundays & Designated Holidays Date Occurrence March 29, 2026 5th Sunday May 31, 2026 5th Sunday June 21, 2026 Father's Day July 5, 2026 Holiday Sunday (Observed) August 30, 2026 5th Sunday November 29, 2026 5th Sunday ━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━ COMMAND BROADCAST The schedule for the 2026 deployment cycle is now live. 3. Orientation https://imgur.com/a/OFzEG3j Map: Snake Eater Time (Starting): 0800(Local) Weather (Starting): Cloudy / Rain Terrain: Jungle A. ENEMY FORCES (RED): Enemy activity remains low to moderate across the designated Area of Operations (AO) "SNAKE EATER." Primary threat vectors are sporadic small arms fire (SAF) engagements and Vehicle-Borne Improvised Explosive Devices (VBIEDs) targeting key infrastructure and transition convoys. Intelligence suggests dispersed, decentralized Insurgent Cells (IC) operating in smaller groups (3-5 personnel), focused on disruption rather than large-scale engagement. CRITICAL THREAT (HEAVY QRF): Recent intelligence confirms the presence of a heavy Enemy Quick Reaction Force (QRF) element (estimated 1000+ personel, motorized) positioned approximately 15 km northwest of FOB RHINO (Grid Ref: ALFA-4). This force is postured for rapid deployment and is assessed to be capable of counter-attacking key infrastructure or objectives secured by the 15th MEU immediately following the TOA. This QRF is the primary threat to stability. B. FRIENDLY FORCES (BLUE): The 15th MEU (Reinforced) continues the Transfer of Authority (TOA) from the outgoing 82nd Airborne Division (82nd ABN). The process is proceeding ahead of schedule. The single Forward Operating Base (FOB RHINO) command element handover is complete. The BLSA TOWER designation refers to the primary logistics sector within FOB RHINO. 2. MISSION STATUS A. MISSION: The 15th MEU assumes Full Operational Capability (FOC) for Operation Whitfield, Execution TBD Enemy Key Weakness: Enemy likely has a lesser logistical chain due to their overbearing numbers Exploitation Plan: will use strategic maneuvers and attacks on the enemy to push and repel their forces out of Whitfield and prepare for oncoming QRF forces End-state: 15th will have successfully taken the Whitfield and established forces. Scheme of Maneuver (BLUFOR CI TO DECIDE) Admin / Logistics Rules of Engagement (ROE) Uniformed forces should be confirmed they are not GREENFOR before being engaged. Non-military model vehicles should be considered civilian, and should not be engaged. Destruction of civilian property and infrastructure should be avoided where feasible. CASEVAC/Reinsertion Plan TBD Ammo/Loadouts All resupply will be conducted in game using the logistical and supply system. Control Mods are standard 15th Mods with the addition of one or two others. All other control measures should be set up by the BLUFOR commander. ROSTER Sign Up Sheet
  4. I am thinking about getting an 5700XT and it is a 4.o x16 connection. My motherboard is a PCI 2.0 X16 Connection will this still work with my motherboard? I know 4.o has faster bandwith speeds and using 2.0 will slow it down a little.
