My PC doesn't overly like it, and it annoys the heck out of me, is there any way to change or or just stop the snow effect to stop it killing my frames when I have it open on my 2nd monitor while playing games?

After reinstalling the game, did you attempt to get it running as admin? if yes, have you tried running Steam as admin? I know a few mods have issues with this, Steam must run as admin etc etc. From memory Arma 3 default profile is saved under C:\Users\**Your username**\Documents\Arma 3 and extra profiles are saved in C:\Users\**Your username**\Documents\Arma 3 - Other Profiles As I said before, it could be that the game is unable to write to this location due to permissions that may be setup by your windows?

Underneath this in my .arma3profile it has all my controls laid out onto each keyboard button/mouse button in number format.....example: keySwimUp[]={45}; keySwimDown[]={44}; keyAdjust[]={29}; keyMoveForward[]={17,200}; keyMoveBack[]={31,208}; keyTurnLeft[]={30,203};

Sounds more like a write/permission problem with where ever your Arma 3 profile is located. Arma 3 normally writes those presets into a file to do with your profile to save it. If this is in an area Arma 3 has no permissions to write to then it wont work - try running Arma 3 or even Steam as admin before launching the game, set the controls then it should save them?
