ACE Font size

Hello,

 

Monday night I completed my recruit training, thankfully.  One of the issues that I've had is experienced based in that I just have not played Arma 3 that much, nor am I familiar with mods and how they work in game.  But I think it's coming along.

 

However, my biggest concern is that being legally blind I am having great difficulty seeing the ACE mod regarding Equipment so that I can set my kits and load outs.  It plagued me the entire training.  Is there anyway to make the ACE fonts larger? or to use the default Arma font?  I recognize that ACE has added a ton of equipment and that this is likely the reason for such small and bunched up fonts.   But I was hopeful to find a way to adapt that for my purposes.  Thank you for your help.

Heyo!

 

You should be able to change the size of your Arma 3 UI in your configurations screen. It's Options -> Video -> Display and there is a drop down for interface size. You can adjust it to your liking! This will also affect the size of the ACE Interaction menu. From some quick testing, it seems like they just zoom in more on the menu while lowering your FOV. Kinda weird so you might also want to mess with your FOV settings to find your perfect fit. Good luck!

Well i did change the interface size.  I was using large and bumped up to very large. That didnt help.  The Ace Mod’s Arsenal page remains with tiny bunched up font.  I will just have to find ways to adapt.  Thanx for your suggestion.

Go to your in game OPTIONS -> GAME -> CONFIGURE ADDONS -> (CHOOSE ACE ARSENAL FROM THE DROP DOWN LIST) -> INCREASE PANEL FONT SIZE. ( I PREFER 5 OR 6 OR ANYTHING THAT SUITS YOU).

Save the changes. This should solve your query. PM me if you still have doubts.

That did it.  Thank you so much for your help.  Can't wait to get back into it.  Been watching the kids all weekend while wife is away on a women's retreat.  Then the next week I'm busy on a couple of evenings with work.  I hope to start my SOI soon, perhaps May 11, 2018.  This tweak makes me feel a heck of a lot better going into it.
