View distance errors

When I run Arma, I run the max view distance under video settings. Now, even though it says I can view that far, at 500 meters that fog shows up in-game. 

I know there is something ingame build blocking my settings & if I type the following command on a Danish keyboard (LControl + Å) it bring's up a small green box on the top right of my screen with that "view distance" & "object view distance" for the next 4-5 seconds before fading of again. I can't do anything with it however

If anyone know how to fix this, do contact me ASAP. 

It's like flying with a back over my head. I'm blind as a bat & I'll consider myself grounded until this is fixed
