SITUATION

Multiple ISIS cells have been located in the region with their cell commanders and lieutenants present in the area. Multiple districts in the area have reached out to NATO Forces to arrange to meet in order to discuss passification and local support operations.

ENEMY FORCES:

Local Extremists, Al-Qaeda foreign fighters and advisors

Size; Cell sized, 280 local fighters, Al-Qaeda foreign fighter advisors.

Activity; Waging guerilla warfare, blending with civilian populace and impeding civil productivity, terrorist operations to impede US Operations.

Unit; Organized Militia group with technicals and light armor, scattered heavy armor.

Equipment; Soviet era armaments, AKs, PKMs, SVDs, as well as anti air and rocket propelled grenades and IEDs.

Capability; Armed Hilux and Datsun trucks, UAZ technicals, light armored troop carriers (BTR-40). APC's (BTR-60), Dated tanks (T-55).

Supporting Units:

160th Special Operations Air Regiment, 2nBn 75th Ranger Regiment

Civilian Considerations:

Civilians mostly evacuated from city, but still may be present in some areas. Render aid and assistance where needed, as well as engage positively with populace.

MISSION:

ISIS Cells occupy the majority of the city and have taken over government-held buildings and infrastructure. It is ODA-3111 and Taskforce Ranger’s mission to kill or capture ISIS commanders and to retake key assets in the city by use of 160th SOAR insertion methods and motorized and light armored assets.

160th SOAR is to provide support via means of AH/MH-6 Littlebird, MH-47G Chinook, and MH-60L DAP. Speed is to be a major component when considering insertion via air, and routes and flight plans should be planned accordingly.

Meticulous planning is highly stressed for this operation to be successful.

Execution:

It is the Task Force Commander's intent to launch an offensive Operation against the insurgent cells and to kill or capture cell Commanders and retake key infrastructure and government assets.

ODA Team 3111 is tasked to spearhead the Operation as first boots on the ground in a direct action role.

Taskforce Ranger is tasked with screening the ODA and acting as QRF in the case of enemy presence becoming too cumbersome for the ODA alone.

160th Special Operations Air Regiment is tasked with the fast insertion of the ODA to their targets via MH-6 Littlebird and AH-6 Littlebirds as escort and gunship support. In the case of QRF being called, SOAR elements will utilize MH-47G Chinooks for a mass move of the QRF force to the given location. MH-60L DAP Blackhawks will be utilized if QRF is called.

If civilians are found to be in the area, QRF will be required to utilize Stryker APCs and MRAPs for insertion to minimize collateral damage.

Signal:

PRC-152s will be utilized by ODA Team, with channels 1-10 free to use amongst their teams.

JTAC frequency will be assigned to channel 80, and air traffic communication designated to 95.

Taskforce Ranger will utilize PRC-343s at the team and squad level, with B1C1-B1C15 being available for use at the Taskforce Ranger commander's discretion.

Rules/Regulations-

Players in ODA are limited to weapons chambered in 5.56, 40mm, and Light AT, as well as are limited to transport via air or SOF GMV or Rzr

Players in Taskforce Ranger are limioted to weapons chambered in 7.62, 40mm, and light or heavy AT. Means of transport will be through air, or mechanized means, unless QRF is called. Again, if QRF is called, they will be inserted via MH-47 with gunship escort or by Stryker with gunship escort.

160th SOAR players are limited to AH/MH-6 Littlebirds unless QRF is called.

Players in ODA and RECCE teams are to kit-out from the ODA designated arsenal boxes in the spawn area. Taskforce Ranger players are to kit-out in the Arsenal Box in the Ranger ready area near the AH/MH-6 Landing zone. Pilots will kit-out at arsenal box in the aforementioned landing zone.

Planning is key, therefore, 45-minutes will be allotted for planning by detachment commanders and 2IC’s with appropriate personnel present.
