personal preference but id stick with intel and nvidia, can get a 4770 and like a 760 for a budget build.

Using that link, I found this that would make for a nice starter PC, little more expensive then the one you linked but IMO its got slightly better hardware which is the price increase.

Intel® Core™ i3 7100 processor

8GB DDR4 2133mhz RAM

NVIDIA™ GeForce® GTX 1050 2GB graphics card

1TB HDD

Gigabyte H110 motherboard

Avoid at all costs.

This would be a far better starter kit (pre-built)

There is no real budget here, but take in to account that anyone looking to purchase a new gaming rig is also considering the alternatives presented by the Xbox One and PS4 for ~$400.

The build that @dmorrison2k picked https://pcpartpicker.com/list/srpZd6 here is actually quite amazing, and beats both Xbox One and PS4 specs hands down for an extra $100. Well worth it if you ask me.

One thing to keep in mind, is there is an issue with Ryzen processors where they completely freeze desktops. I hear they have no intentions to release a patch, but instead are waiting for the their next BIOS update to fix it.

The build @dmorris but together is a decent entry level gaming build, but I personally wouldn't put my OS on a 1TB HDD.

There is nothing wrong with using such a large drive to put your OS on. Its just a personal preference to use something much smaller

and typically suggested, and here is why.

Anything that will access the whole drive at once will take much longer, i.e. Anti-Virus scans, defragmentation, formatting, etc.

Boot up times will be much slower as well.

Putting your OS on a smaller HDD will make your software and OS load much faster.

I'm currently using a 480gb SSD HD. Just to give you an idea of how fast it is;

My PC completely boots up in 11 seconds. That's from completely off to fully booted up ready to go with all startup software loaded.

Defraging my SSD HD takes about a minute.

Ant-Virus scans take about a minute as well.

The SSD's are a bit more expensive like @1stLt Robb said.

I'm just sharing my opinion as a computer nerd.

Boot up time on my laptop is now 3 seconds.

I have no fucking idea why other than SSD.

I got ya, was just curious if there was a reason other then SSD being better.

Loading times makes another reason to buy an SSD. It tooks about 2-3 minutes to load a Battlefield 3 map on HDD, about 10sec on SSD.

For Arma, i noticed that there is no lag/freezing when you open your scope.
