  3. Public Operation Order: Operation Detachment TASK ORGANIZATION: 27th Marine Regiment LOCATION: Iwo Jima Date and Time: 30AUG2026 1800CST Briefing ORIENTATION Weather: Clear Time of Operation: 0900cst (in-game time) Vegetation in the Area and its Effects on Visibility: Heavily Fortified Beaches | Fortified Hills and light vegitation I. SITUATION: A. Enemy Forces: The Japanese garrison on Iwo Jima is heavily fortified in a complex network of deep caves, concrete bunkers, and pillboxes across the entire island. They are committed to a defense to the death and hold all key high ground, especially Mount Suribachi and the Motoyama Plateaus. Enemy beach defenses are dense and designed for interlocking fields of fire. The unique black volcanic sand will hinder infantry movement. Expect concentrated mortar, artillery, and anti-tank fire from Suribachi. B. Friendly Forces: 27th Marine Regiment (Red Beach Landing Team): Landing on Red Beaches 1 & 2. Main effort to push across the narrow neck to the western coast and to assault and capture Mt. Suribachi. II. MISSION: The 27th Marine Regiment lands on Red Beaches 1 & 2 to rapidly secure the beachhead, clear direct fire positions, and advance with maximum speed across the narrow volcanic neck to the western shore. The primary objective is to construct a multi-layered blocking position across the neck to isolate Mount Suribachi from the rest of the island, supporting the 28th Regiment's main assault. III. EXECUTION: A. Concept of the Operation: Phase 1 (Landing & Beachhead): The assault waves land on Red 1 and Red 2. The immediate task is to overcome enemy strongpoints on the beach and establish a continuous line. Phase 2 (Cross-Island Thrust): Upon securing the beachhead, Red 1, Red 2, and Red 3 will commence a rapid thrust directly across the narrow volcanic neck to the western coast. Phase 3 (Isolation): Secure the western coast and establish fortified blocking positions with support from Green 1 (MG) and Thunder 1 (Mortars) to seal the northern exit from Mount Suribachi. Phase 4 (Capture): Red 1, Red 2, and Red 3 will commence assault on Mt. Suribachi to caputre the mountain with cover from Green 1 and Thunder 1. B. Task Organization & Specific Tasks: Red 1, Red 2, & Red 3 (Rifle Squads): Lead the cross-island thrust and clear enemy bunkers. Green 1 (MG Squad): Establish overwatch positions and suppress fortified pillboxes on the flanks. Thunder 1 (Mortars): Provide on-call indirect fire support and smoke screens for advancing rifle squads. IV. COMMAND & SIGNAL: A. Command: Platoon Commander (Open) holds operational control on the ground. B. Signal: All squads must ensure their radios are tuned appropriately in the Reforger loadout screen prior to deployment. 4. Hey O'Mally, Needless to say, a lot has happened over this first deployment. They definitely didn't tell me in SOI that I'd have to deal with people shooting at me and snakes. For future reference, jungles suck. On the bright side, even though I haven't been here long, I've made some good friends. When I get back, you're going to have to meet some of them. A lot of them are absolutely nuts. Charlie Team is probably the most laid back. Rothe knows his stuff and is kind of a nerd—you two would probably get along pretty well. Guns and guitars are common interests for both of you. Bridger doesn't talk much, but he's a solid guy. Angulo is pretty new, but he's finding his footing. He's also surprisingly competent and has a talent for removing the enemy from what they think are "safe" spaces. The guys from Bravo—Kleefisch, Shackleford, and Probst—have proudly dubbed themselves "The Old Bastards." To be fair, it's pretty accurate. They're all a little crazy in their own way. Probst, our resident German, has a knack for anything tech-related and is a pretty chill guy. I'm still confused as hell how he ended up here from Zanzibar. Fish and Shack are the old guys who somehow do more than just keep up—they're usually right in the thick of it. Alpha is... well, Alpha. Lyman, the poor soul, has the newer guys: Scusa and Cissna. Lyman is pretty laid back, while Scusa has the attention span of puppy at a dog park. He knows way more than you’d first expect. Cissna is still finding his footing, but he's a chill dude and easy to get along with. And I can't forget the guys who have to deal with all of us goofballs—Adams and Prochniak. I've got to give them credit for putting up with us. Proch is basically just you if you ate a lot more cheese and were from Wisconsin. I've also discovered that Adams has a strange fascination with testing gravity, as if it hasn't already proven itself every time we have to haul all our gear three clicks to an OBJ. Most recently, he found a ladder to help with his experiment. The result? A broken foot. Unfortunately, any income he was making from selling feet pics is on hold for the foreseeable future. The silver lining is that his Clash of Clans career should remain completely uninterrupted while he recovers. That's about all I've got for now. Keep me updated on how things are back home. 6. Hey there small girls, Just want to let you know that everything you learned about spiders is right, they suck, the jungle is full of them and they can all burn in a fire. I never thought I could be tired of beaches, but we've seen too many that have crappy course sand. Not the nice stuff we get in San Diego. Miss you littles and if i can capture a turtle to bring home I will. Dad
  7. I was kicked off Team speak 27JUL26 around 0115 CST. And I’m unable to to access TeamSpeak or the Website atm. I’ll update if it revolves itself before someone gets back to me.
