    ORIENTATION:
Takistan has been in civil unrest for many years due to several factions operating in the country. While the Takistani government has made strides, the United States Government has stayed involved in the development of this area, seeking to establish a solid ally in the region, whilst also attempting to stem the tide of illegal arms and drug trade that flows into and out of the country.
The police and the military of Takistan operate as two joint branches, that is also deeply corrupted, whomever isn't bought into the service of an arms or drug dealer, are  often intimidated into inaction by threat of violence.

The intelligence section (Known as ahmar aldhiaab the "Red Wolves") of the Takistan military, which operates Takistans special forces, is dedicated to freeing Takistan from its corruption and unrest and has been working with the CIA in taking down several HVT's over the years. Currently a joint operation between the CIA and the "Red Wolves" is underway codenamed "Operation Sabertooth",  which is aimed at one of the last remaining arms dealers left in Takistan, Calvin Roux. A French African native, he is responsible for selling arms and armament to several groups that have attacked U.S. occupied locations in Takistan and elsewhere regionally. Due to many Takistan politicians having been bought by Calvin Roux, attempts to imprison him in Takistan have failed. Calvin Roux exact location is unknown, as he moves from house to house each night, however he still utilizes his lieutenants in order to conduct business, which has allowed the CIA to track him to a specific region in Takistan.

The president of Takistan has agreed to allow Calvin Roux to be extradited to U.S. soil where he will face charges of aiding enemies of the United States and imprisoned. Due to internal pressure, the "Red Wolves" are unable to carry out this operation, thus a small portion of the 15th MEU was assigned to airbase "Reno" a month ago on the pretext of training Takistan military forces.
The 15th MEU will be essential carrying out the end phase of "Operation Sabertooth" and capturing Calvin Roux.

The CIA has been tracking the movements of Calvin Roux's top lieutenant known only as Nabi, a Takistan native. His recent movements have seen him visiting the regional police station in Jilavur, and meeting with Police Captain Abdul. These meetings have been confirmed to be securing Abduls loyalty, and that of his men, with bribes. These meetings happen on a monthly basis, early in the morning, after which Nabi departs out of Jilavur eastward to an unknown location. Likely to check on illegal arms stashed in a compound somewhere, Nabi always heads back into Jilavur and onwards towards either Shukurkalay or Chaman by 1000 local. Efforts to track Nabi into this area have been difficult as he changes vehicles out of sight, and the local populace is uncooperative and unwilling to risk themselves due to fear of retaliation by Calvin Roux to gather information.

    Map: Takistan
    Weather: Clear
Effects on visibility: Ne effect on visibility for BLUFOR or OPFOR
Time: Mission start time  0700 Local time

    SITUATION:
After months of observation, the CIA has determined when the next meeting between Nabi and Abdul will be taking place, and has deemed this imperative in the next step in obtaining Calvin Roux's location. Alpha Company was tasked to capture Calvins Roux's top lieutenant, Nabi, which was successful and he has been brought back to airbase Reno for interrogation.

The interrogation will eventually reveal Calvin Roux's location, however, in order to ensure that Nabi isn't discovered missing, and to secure the route of travel into a future combat area, LED is being dispatched to cordon off the roads leading out of the towns of Jilavur and Khushab towards the towns of Shukurkalay and Chaman. To prevent any civilians travelling to Shukurkalay and Chaman, and to detain everyone departing from Shukurkalay and Chaman.

    ENEMY SALUTE
Size: Estimated as no more than 1 to 2 infantry squads. (More may attempt to leave Shukurkalay and Chaman)
Activity:  Located in safe houses, or out on patrols in the area.
    Location: Jilavur and Khushab
Unit: Irregular militia forces, with several persons from the local populace in support
Time: Current as of operation start
Equipment: OPFOR possess Soviet Bloc Small Arms, trucks,  and known to operate technicals. Unknown what other arms  / vehicles / equipment that may be stored.

    Capabilities and Limitations:
Attack: OPFOR has limited ability to attack
Defend: OPFOR will defend all territory held
    Reinforce: OPFOR can reinforce
    Withdraw: OPFOR will withdraw
    Delay: OPFOR can delay

    FRIENDLY FORCES:
    Higher (Higher's Mission):
The 15th MEU(SOC) will conduct exercise focused on cordon and search with MOUT.

    Adjacent assets:
    N/A

    Fire Support for BLUFOR:
    N/A

    TASK FORCE LED:
    LED HQ
    Sabre (2x Squad)
    EOD (1x Squad)
    Titan
ACE transport aircraft (Voluntary, and as determined by HQ)

    MISSION:
    1. This operation must be conducted swiftly, any OPFOR encountered should be captured or eliminated. Establish roadblocks on the southern roads in Jilavur and Khushab leading towards Shukurkalay and Chaman. Do not establish roadblocks or checkpoints that impede or block traffic on the main roadway that travels west to east. Any vehicles or Civilians attempting to travel south should be warned away.

Once the Cordon is established in Jilavur and Khushab leading to Shukurkalay and Chaman, temporarily detain everyone attempting to leave from Shukurkalay and Chaman. Conduct searches and do not release anyone found carrying any armaments or suspicious equipment, they should be permanently detained and considered a POW and bought back with you when LED departs the AO back to airbase Reno.
Once search is conducted, and if they are not permanently detained, allow them past the checkpoint but do not let them return to Shukurkala or Chaman.

    2. Search the towns of Jilavur and Khushab for OPFOR safehouses. These will have been identified by MSOT, and their locations will be relayed to your when you are on route. It is suspected that one location has been making improvised explosives, for the safety of the civilians, these should be disarmed, dismantled, or taken to a safe location and demolished.

    3. Capture and detain Captain Abdul and his police force at the Regional police station upon immediate arrival at Jilavur, preferably without violence, to prevent them from sending word to Calvin Rou or General Havim. Ensure to take Captain Abdul back to airbase Reno, but leave the rest of the police force behind tied up.

At 0815 local, a GCE convoy (driven by RP'ers or by AI) will pass through Khushab onroute to Shukurkalay and Chaman to capture Calvin Roux.
Mission must be completed by 0900 local, and LED departed by that time as the regional battalion located in Feruz Abad lead by General Havim will respond and arrest any BLUFOR found operating in the area and demand the release of any captured persons. CIA agents will arrive at your location to warn you when General Havim has left Feruz Abad, the CIA agents will give the codeword "Tiger" to identify themselves. LED will need to depart the area by 0900 local and leave as little trace of themselves behind as possible. The CIA Agents will delay General Havim from proceeding past Jilavur into GCE combat area until 1000 local.

Ensure to avoid Feruz Abad entirely or your presence will be noted and responded to with suspicion.

    EXECUTION:
    Commander's Intent:
It is my intent for LED to train in cordon, search, and MOUT.

    Scheme of maneuver:
By no later than 0745 local(1945CST), LED will be in place in the towns of Jilavur and Khushab to cordon and search.
At 0900 local, LED will depart Jilavur and Khushab and return to airbase Reno before the arrival of General Havim and his forces from Feruz Abad.

    SITUATION:

Roughneck (Alpha Company) has been tasked to capture Nabi, and have him returned to airbase "Reno" for interrogation by Takistan intelligence.

No U.S. presence is allowed during the conduction of this interrogation, Takistani intelligence has gained a reputation for quickly extracting detailed and accurate information in a short period of time. This information will be essential in follow-up operations to be conducted by the 15th MEU's LED and GCE elements.

    ENEMY SALUTE

    Location: Unknown

    MISSION:
    Capture of Nabi

This operation must be conducted swiftly and as silently as possible, any OPFOR encountered should be avoided or eliminated. If OPFOR is alerted to any suspicious activity, the regional battalion located in Feruz Abad lead by General Havim will respond and arrest any BLUFOR found operating in the area and demand the release of any captured persons. This must be avoided as such activity will tip off Calvin Roux who will immediately depart the area.

Nabi cannot be captured whilst he is still in Jilavur or while he is enroute to where his unknown destination is, as he will be expected by his companions there shortly. Nabi must be identified when he arrives for his meeting with Abdul in Jilavur, followed to his unknown destination, his location assaulted, Nabi captured alive and returned to airbase "Reno".
When his unknown destination is confirmed, during assault, all other persons on site are expendable, if any other POW's are detained, return them to airbase "Reno".

If possible, as a secondary objective, attempt to identify safehouse locations of OPFOR within Khushab and Jilavur either visually or by UAV. Which will aid LED in search and seizure in their follow on operation. OPFOR Lookouts will likely be posted at the buildings they occupy, look for armed or suspicious persons attempt to ID as many OPFOR as possible to gather intelligence on OPFOR strength in the area, as well as keep track of any OPFOR encountered or located elsewhere in the AO near Khushab and Jilavur.

Mission must be completed by 0700 local, as Nabi is expected back by 1000 local. Thus mobility should be emphasized and light vehicles utilized,. Ensure to avoid Feruz Abad entirely.

    EXECUTION:
    Commander's Intent:
It is my intent for Alpha company to train in cordon, search, and MOUT.

To the entire extended family of the 15th MEU Realism Unit,

I wanted to take this moment to extend a Happy Thanksgiving to the entire friends and family of this Unit. That's right, even you non-Americans. Though you guys may not share this holiday with us, it's an important one for us to let everyone know our love and gratefulness for them.

Thanksgiving is a time for reflection, and for acknowledgement of the love and affection of all of our friends and family. There is - without a doubt in my mind - no greater Friends and Family, than our own little Corps. We all come here to play a game, and we all find a place of belonging. We are all family.. even the ones we don't like. Every single one of the over 3300 members that have passed through the doors of this Unit are people I'm proud to know and count as members of the 15th MEU Realism Unit Family.

To all of you: Thank you for being a member of this Family. This Unit is nothing without the support and absolute devotion every single one of you bring to this place every day. With people like you this Unit will last another 10 years and beyond, weathering any and every storm that rocks our harbor. Keep loving this Unit.. this Corps, with everything you have like you do. We appreciate every single one of you, even if you don't hear it or feel it sometimes.

Happy Thanksgiving. Now get off and go spend it with your family. This is a day off. Enjoy it.

    Attention All Hands,

We have made an adjustment to the retirement policy... we actually made it back in June, however I forgot to post an announcement about it.

Effective June 2017, the requirement for retirement will be 550 days Time in Active Duty. This is a change from the previous 550 days Time in Total Service. So no more waiting in reserves to meet the retirement time.

    Apologies for the late posting.

The Command Staff of the 15th MEU(SOC) takes pleasure in awarding the Combat Action Ribbon to:

All the members that participated in combat operations during Operation RISING CADENCE. (Complete list in following post.)

    for

Participating in at least one official combat action during Operation RISING CADENCE. In the real world, this ribbon is awarded to members of the Navy, Marine Corps, and Coast Guard (when operating under the control of the Navy) in the grade of captain (or colonel in the Marine Corps) and below who have actively participated in ground or surface combat. Personnel who earned the Combat Infantryman Badge or Combat Medical Badge while a member of the Army may be authorized to wear the Combat Action Ribbon. The principle criterion is that the recipient must have participated in a bona fide ground or surface combat firefight or in an action during which he was under enemy fire and his performance under fire was satisfactory. We simulate that here by awarding it to anyone who participated in at least one deployment operation day on the ground under fire.

    Signed,
    -Colonel Penny

    Attention All Hands,

The past year or so we have sought to bring qualified pilots to the C-130 airframe to be made available for jump training and jump missions. This has been fraught with issues, which required change, including some we are making today.

    Effective immediately:

The F-35 Detachment will assume full responsibility for the C-130 in addition to the F-35.  They will train on both aircraft, crew both aircraft, and any requests for C-130 participation will be addressed to them.
-The requirements for the qualification will be eliminated. Instead, the C-130 SPP material will now be added in with the F-35 material, and all future pilots for this detachment will automatically receive both qualifications. Current pilots will be required to conduct 5 solo hours on the aircraft to complete their dual qualification.

If a request for a C-130 is made and
    -no Green Knights sign up,
    -or no Green Knights are available the day of;
than anyone holding a qualification from ACE may fly the aircraft in their place, regardless of the airframe(s) they have qualified on, active/reserve status, or current billeting.

Any questions may refer to their CoC.

    Attention All Hands,

When the Cadet Corps was initially stood up two years ago it did not contain any policy for their on awards and decorations. It was something we felt could wait while they got themselves initially established. Given their relative stability, and decent success, we feel it is finally time to begin awarding them their own decorations.

Below is the link to the Cadet Corps Awards and Decorations Policy. This will, later, be put into a nicer document, but this is good enough for now for initial information dissemination. These awards are based on the Young Marines Awards which can be found here for reference.

    Cadet Corps Awards and Decorations

The Awards and Decorations staff will not be required to maintain the racks of the Cadets. Specific implementation is still in discussion, but this could be by an Awards and Decs Staff by the Cadets themselves, personal volunteer (in the same vein as the old fatigues blocks someone used to do), or by personal assembly of the Cadet themselves.

These awards currently will NOT transfer to the Main Unit. There may, in the future, be some discussion about translation of some personal awards translating to Main Unit equivalents, but this will not be occurring for now. All service awards will be automatically awarded (as usual), and all personal awards will be approved by Command Staff.
