FOUR FOUR BRAVO AMBUSH (23JULY1983 JAFFNA PENINSULA, SRI LANKA)

The land Rover and the truck consisting of 15 soldiers of the Sri Lanka Army is Ambushed by an extremist rebel group killing 13 men including the patrol commander Lt Vaas Gunawardene. The remaining two soldiers continue to return fire, pinning the enemy down until they run out of ammunition. They barely escape with their lives as the enemy advances to loot the dead comrades. Cpl Perera Hides his wounded buddy Cpl Sumathipala on a corner of a wall with vegetation. Wounded himself, he makes his way toward the town to get his hands on a telephone to inform the HQ about the Ambush. Unbeknownst to any of them at the moment, this ambush alone will drag the island nation to a 30 year long conflict resulting in hundreds and thousands of casualties
