Additional Application Fields

  • First Name Michael
  • Middle Name Scott
  • Discord Name N/A
  • Age 21
  • Did a 15th Member either help you get into the unit or recruit you? N/A
  • Desired MOS 0331 Machine Gunner
  • How long have you been playing ArmA III? 3 Years
  • Are you currently in an ArmA III gaming clan or unit? N/A
  • How did you find out about us? Current Active Duty Marine, wanted to find a unit that is a MILSIM unit for Arma so I scrolled through the unit page on Arma's website.
  • Why do you want to join the 15th MEU (SOC) Realism Unit? Current Active Duty Marine (0351/0311), almost 4 years in, about to deploy on my second pump. I enjoy MILSIM games and people that want to play it in a Realism style. My buddies and I (from 1st BN 4th MAR, in real life) play Arma and Squad and use our actual tactics and I want to find other people that are interested in playing in that same style. I enjoy being around people of the similar mindset. Lastly, this unit seems to be one of the better ones at being a realism unit (and also I am deploying on the 15th MEU) so I think I would fit in pretty well here.

Important side note, I would like to be placed in the reserves or not fully processed until I return from my deployment. I will be returning sometime around the end of May or beginning of June 2021.

    Many thanks
    Michael S. Griffith

I was missing my ArmA III Player ID, the field was missing on my original application so I added a new field to include it. Edit located right after "Highest Level Completed" and before "Steam Name"

Hello @Rct M. Griffith,

Welcome to the 15th MEU (SOC) Realism Unit. We strive to simulate the operation of a Marine Expeditionary Unit by using real world Marine Corps organization and tactics. With that said, we are not a strict by the book gaming unit. Our primary goal is for our members to have fun within the policies and guidelines of our unit. As long as you are participating as a team member and being respectful of everyone, you are more than welcome.

There are a few administrative things we need to do to get you set up in our unit. In the day of taking your Recruit Training or day after, you will be set up to have more forums visible than you did as a guest. Make sure you check the forums regularly as it is our most common means of relaying information to the members.

15th TeamSpeak Info - Address: 38.65.5.152 password: 201915

When you connect to TeamSpeak your user information needs to be as follows:

Teamspeak User Name: Rct M. Griffith

15th Discord Info - Link: https://discord.gg/DT7VhhD

Discord Nickname: Rct M. Griffith

Your in-game profile name needs to be: Rct M. Griffith

Make sure that there is no space after your in-game name.   You have been assigned to a Recruiter in order to help you get through the process of getting into the unit. This Recruiter will assist you in setting up your mods, getting you into a Recruit Training Class, getting you into a SOI class, and finally, help you get assigned to a unit. Throughout the process, your Recruiter will be able to answer any and all questions you have.

Your Recruiter will be @Maj D. Johansen. Make sure to send them a PM as soon as possible letting them know you've been assigned to them. If for any reason you haven't responded within 48 hours they will approach you. Fair warning, however, if you haven't responded to that PM within 48 hours, you will have to reapply to the unit. If after you contact your recruiter, they fail to respond within 24 hours, or you are wishing to attend a training within the next 24 hours, please feel free to contact any recruiter on the contact list. If for any reason your recruiter does not get back to you after you message them, contact the Recruiting Section Leader.

Welcome Aboard,
Sgt D. J. Peterson
