So will the name on the application be used in the game? If so can I use a fake name for privacy?

You are free to use any realistic name you wish. For example, my name is nowhere close to my real name. The name you put will be used to refer to you in this unit, though. If you have second thoughts about it, you are able to change it with reason at a later date.
